About

Hi, I’m Emma, a designer, illustrator, and educator based in Rochester, New York. My creative path has taken a few twists and turns, from studying costume design at Savannah College of Art and Design to earning my BFA in Drawing from SUNY Brockport and an MFA in Communication Design from Kutztown University.

For the past decade, I’ve worked across brand design, consumer products, packaging, illustration, and surface design. I’ve developed everything from large-scale gift collections and retail products to brand identities, packaging systems, patterns, and digital campaigns. I especially love projects where I can follow an idea from the first sketch all the way to the finished product.

Alongside my design practice, I teach art and design at SUNY Brockport, bringing my industry experience into courses ranging from drawing and design foundations to typography, graphic design, and digital illustration.

At heart, I’m a maker. I’m endlessly curious, inspired by nature, travel, animals, color, and the little details that make something feel special. Whether I’m designing for a client, teaching, illustrating, or experimenting in my studio, I’m happiest when I’m making something.
